When running an FDK command, if a new FDK version is available, a message will be displayed at the command line prompt asking whether you would like to install it. To install the latest FDK version, type
You can also update the FDK version by using the:

- NPM install command.
FDK version command
To check the version of the currently installed FDK and update the same, run the following command:
The installed FDK version is displayed along with the latest version and the instructions to update the same.
NPM install command
To install a particular FDK version, run the following command:
npm install https://dl.freshdev.io/cli/fdk-<major.minor.patch>.tgz -g
Replace <major.minor.patch> with the actual FDK version, which would look like this: 6.2.3
