When there’s a new version of FDK available, there will be a prompt asking if you would like to install it on any FDK command is used. Responding with
Yes will install the latest version. Responding
No will just stop prompting again.
However, the FDK can be updated manually anytime when you would like to install the latest version of FDK in the following ways.
- Check FDK version and update
- Use NPM install command
Check FDK version and update
The following command is used to check the version of the currently installed FDK.
The result will include the instructions to install the latest version along with the currently installed version.
Use NPM install command
The following command is used to install any available version of FDK.
npm install https://dl.freshdev.io/cli/fdk-<major.minor.patch>.tgz -g
The <major.minor.patch> template should be replaced with the actual version to be installed. It would look like 6.2.3
The desired version can be replaced in the above-mentioned command to install the particular version of FDK.
